Beyond the Classroom
We extend the Montessori experience through nature exploration, French language immersion, creative arts, and community field trips.
Regular outdoor excursions to local parks and nature areas develop environmental awareness and sensory learning.
All programs benefit from cultural enrichment experiences that introduce French and Mandarin through songs, circle gatherings, stories, celebrations, and seasonal traditions. These exposures nurture curiosity and global awareness while supporting language sensitivity during the early years. English remains the primary language of instruction for all academic subjects.
Children are introduced to a spectrum of classical to modern artistic traditions — from composers such as Chopin, Mozart, and Beethoven to artists such as Van Gogh and Yayoi Kusama. Through attentive listening, guided observation, and age-appropriate exploration of techniques such as expressive brush strokes and pointillist patterns, children develop aesthetic awareness while refining concentration, coordination, and fine motor skills.
Led by our AMI Montessori Sports certified coaches, our soccer program develops coordination, body awareness, and social confidence through play-based sessions that respect each child's pace. We partner with Futbolito Soccer, whose Coach Sofia brings elite competitive experience — including national tournaments and a Canada Soccer C License — combined with Montessori Sports and Early Childhood Education training from UBC.
In partnership with the award-winning Seikido Dojo — established in 1980 in South Surrey — our students develop discipline, focus, and self-confidence through a martial arts system that blends striking, rolls, breakfalls, and self-defence. Founded by Doshu Paul Li, the programme at our school is led by Sensei Wayne Li (Founder) and Senpai Quinn, who bring decades of expertise in cultivating respect, resilience, and body awareness in young learners.
Age-appropriate outings to farms, gardens, and community spaces extend the prepared environment into the wider world.
In partnership with The Dental Room, our students receive dental health education and awareness sessions, supporting whole-child wellness within the school community.
We are actively building relationships with paediatricians and other health professionals to support the holistic well-being of our students and families. If you are a health professional interested in partnering with us, we welcome your inquiry.
